Modern Slavery Statement
Layer is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chain. We recognise our responsibility to take a robust approach to ethical practices and uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
We work closely with our suppliers and partners to ensure that fair labour practices are followed and that employment is freely chosen, safe, and fairly compensated. We do not tolerate forced labour, child labour, or any form of human trafficking, and we expect all those within our supply chain to share this commitment.
Our internal policies support this stance by promoting ethical conduct and encouraging the reporting of any concerns related to exploitation or abuse. We continue to review and strengthen our processes to ensure compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Due Diligence and Risk Management
To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we:
Conduct due diligence on all new suppliers, including ethical sourcing assessments
Require suppliers to agree to our Code of Conduct, which includes clauses on labour rights and anti-slavery practices
Prioritise working with suppliers who are members of recognised ethical trade initiatives or have clear modern slavery policies in place
Maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to promote trust, transparency, and accountability
This statement reflects our dedication to ethical business practices and the protection of human rights across all aspects of our operations.
